History of the Hive

From the day B-Hive Printing opened in 1981, we have been providing design and print services for the Warrick & Vanderburgh County areas.

With backgrounds in business management, commercial photography, graphic design, and offset printing, Stan and Gail Bailey opened their new business in 1981, named after the fast-paced environment reminiscent of a beehive while the shortened “B” refers to both Bailey and Boonville.

Starting as a primarily offset printing business, we have evolved to also include full design, production, and distribution processes for any order that comes through the shop.

As technologies have changed, we can now offer items such as banners & signs, apparel printing, promotional items, awards, and much more, along with our foundation of graphic design and printing.

In April of 2019, long-time employee Sam Wathen purchased the business from Stan & Gail. Sam graduated from University of Evansville in 2014 with a degree in Visual Communication Design and Multimedia Production. Sam brings new ideas to the design aspect of B-Hive and continues to bring top-notch customer service to any who use our services. Sam strives to keep strengthening and expanding the services provided and bring new, exciting ideas to Warrick County and the surrounding areas.

Since Sam took over B-Hive, Plaques Plus & Craftmark have been acquired as divisions of B-Hive Printing, which adds an extensive line of awards & recognition gifts, along with customizable stamps, seals, and engraved name plates & badges.

In recent history, our shop moved to the heart of Boonville at 112 East Main Street! For the past 31 years, our shop had been located in Meyer Center in Boonville, but through the years of expanding and acquiring new services and equipment it was clear we needed a place where we could keep up with the changes. With almost double the space as our previous home, we are so excited to continue our dedication to creativity, quality, and service.
